About

The Garden of Learning Child Development Center provides the Harrisburg, PA area with high quality child care and early learning services. Our educational program is carefully created and implements Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards to ensure that each child is meeting developmental and educational goals. Family owned and operated, Garden of Learning Child Development Center's purpose is to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children to grow and blossom.

Garden of Learning Child Development Center is a Keystone Stars Participating Center.

We believe that all children deserve high quality care and early education and we have strongly commited ourselves to providing these services to the children and families in our Community.

It is for this reason that we began participating in the Keystone Stars program. At our center, you will find many higher quality standards such as:

  • Experienced and Educated Teachers-All of our teachers routinely attend trainings and Professional Development events in Early Childhood Education to ensure that their knowledge is fresh and current.

  • Developmental Screenings are used for all children enrolled within the first 45 days of enrollment.

  • We use Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards as a resource when planning each week's lessons from Infants through School Age children.

  • We regularly perform Environmental Rating Scales in each of our classrooms in order to evaluate quality improvements.

  • We encourage partnerships with our families by providing daily information about each child's day, offering parent/teacher conferences, providing information about available Community Resources, Health and Safety information, and many other topics.
